Riverside Rags is a Certified Ragdoll Breeder. We are committed to the best possible health, safety and socialization we can possibly provide for our gorgeous ragdoll cats. Throughout our website you can see in the photos of our cats how strikingly beautiful they are. Our mission is to raise the best possible kittens for you to adopt, who will then provide many years of love and companionship to you and your family. We are confident in the quality of our adorable kittens and offer an unprecedented 10-year Health Guarantee.
Certified Ragdoll Breeder
In pursuit of this objective, we are deterimined to meet and (wherever possible) exceed industry standards of care for our cats. We put substantial effort into becoming fully certified with the registry organizations and with other highly reputable organizations. We are proud to have been awarded the following certified ragdoll breeder achievements:
Outstanding Cattery Award – TICA
The International Cat Association (TICA) provides the Outstanding Cattery award for catteries that meet an extensive list of requirements. TICA states:
…”the Outstanding Cattery Program has adopted the Cattery Evaluation Program and the Outstanding Cattery Code of Ethics as requirements for achieving the TICA Outstanding Cattery certificate. The goal is to provide education, information, and guidance to breeders so that they are aware of proper husbandry and cattery management techniques.”
Riverside Rags first achieved this certification in January of 2022 and continues to qualify each year, including an annual inspection by a licensed veterinarian.
CFA Approved Cattery & CFA Cattery of Excellence
CFA offers two levels of achievement under the CFA Approved Cattery Environment Program(ACEP). CFA states:
Cattery inspections are conducted by licensed veterinarians, using criteria established by CFA. The ACEP program has two tiers: “CFA Approved Cattery” and “CFA Cattery of Excellence”. The inspection and approval process encompasses the environmental conditions of the cattery.
Riverside Rags first achieved CFA Approved Cattery in 2021 and the Cattery of Excellence certification in January of 2022. We continue to qualify each year, including an annual inspection by a licensed veterinarian.
PawPeds
PawPeds, in pursuit of their mission to raise the level of understanding about breeding and genetics in the Cat World, offers an educational course series as follows:
- General course step 1, or G1 for short, is mainly about cat ownership.
- Step 2 of the general course, G2, is mainly about having a litter but also includes basic genetics and breeding plans.
- Step 3, G3, is more in depth about selective breeding, genetics, physiology, cat food, behavior, etc.
Riverside Rags completed G1 and is working toward G2 and G3.
