Bach has already been adopted by his furever family. To view our available kittens, please click here.
By the time that Bach went to his forever home, he had received the following:
- A well-check visit with a veterinarian
- Preventive deworming
- One or more doses of the 3-series vaccine FVRCP
Bach has inherited “clear” genetic health conditions from his parents who were both tested and proven to be free of the following: HCM, PKD1, MPS VI, FeLV, FIV, Chlamydia Felis, Feline Calicivirus, Feline Herpes Virus 1, Bordetella Bronchiseptica, H7N2 Influenza Virus, and Influenza A Virus. While Bach himself has not been directly tested, as a result of genetic inheritance and environmental exposure he is not a carrier of these viruses or mutations.
King and Queen – the parents of Bach
The parents of Bach are:
King: Hawking
Queen: Bianca
Genetic Color/Pattern Inheritance
Bach’s parents have colors, patterns and markings that are governed by their genetic traits (listed below). Bach has inherited his color, pattern and markings from them according to the statistics of genetic inheritance. It is important to note that he may not necessarily look like either of his parents depending on their dominant and recessive genes.
| Tested Genes | King: Hawking | Queen: Bianca |
| Agouti gene (A locus) | A/a (Lynx) | a/a (not Lynx) |
| Brown gene (B locus) | B/B (Seal) | B/B (Seal) |
| Colorpoint gene (C locus) | cs/cs (Traditional) | cs/cs (Traditional) |
| Dilution gene (D locus) | D/d (Carries Dilute) | D/d (Carries Dilute) |
| KIT gene (White / White Spotting locus) | N/Ws (Mitted) | Ws/Ws (Bicolor) |
| Orange (observed – not a gene) |
