Ragdoll Colors and Patterns
Seal Point
The seal color is a rich dark brown. The shading is similar in color to the animal that you might see glimmering in the sun and floating on a buoy off the coast of California!
A kitten with a Point pattern will have coloring other than white on his paws, ears, nose and tail. The colored parts will continue to darken until a Ragdoll is between 2 and 4 years old. The white markings will remain white.

Blue Point
The color is gray…so why is it called blue? Perhaps for the same reason that “seal” is called “seal” and not “dark brown” – it has a classier ring to it! It could also be due to the color having bluish underlying tones.
A kitten with a Point pattern will have coloring other than white on his paws, ears, nose and tail. The colored parts will continue to darken until a Ragdoll is between 2 and 4 years old. The white markings will remain white.

Flame or Red Point
Both “Flame” and “Red” are orange in color. TICA recognizes this color as “Red” while CFA has labeled it “Flame”. Our opinion is that “Flame” is a better description which is why you’ll see our kittens classified as “Flame”.
A kitten with a Point pattern will have coloring other than white on his paws, ears, nose and tail. The colored parts will continue to darken until a Ragdoll is between 2 and 4 years old. The white markings will remain white.

Chocolate Point
The “Chocolate” color is a diluted “Seal” so light brown. It can be a nice “in-between” if you like both Seal and Blue.
A kitten with a Point pattern will have coloring other than white on his paws, ears, nose and tail. The colored parts will continue to darken until a Ragdoll is between 2 and 4 years old. The white markings will remain white.

Lilac Point
The “Lilac” color is a diluted “Blue” or light grey.
A kitten with a Point pattern will have coloring other than white on his paws, ears, nose and tail. The colored parts will continue to darken until a Ragdoll is between 2 and 4 years old. The white markings will remain white.

Cream Point
The Cream color is a diluted Flame or Red. Similar to creamsicle ice cream, a light orange color or peach color will be present. Because the cream and flame colors can be so similar while ragdoll kittens are young, oftentimes the only way to know the color for certain is by DNA testing.

Seal Mitted
The color is seal or dark brown.
The Mitted pattern will be just like the point pattern (darker ears, nose and tail) except the paws will be white or have “mittens”.

Blue Mitted
The color is blue or grey.
The Mitted pattern will be just like the point pattern (darker ears, nose and tail) except the paws will be white or have “mittens”.

Flame Mitted
An orange color with a mitted pattern.
Due to the orange/red/flame color being so light when a kitten is young, it is normal for a kitten to have an unidentifiable pattern until he is much older.

Chocolate Mitted
A light brown color with a mitted pattern.

Lilac Mitted
The color is Lilac or light blue or grey with a mitted pattern.

Cream Mitted
